Recently, Bobbi Althoff has been featured a variety of news stories. However, a lot of this is related to the fact that she is the subject of Drake-related rumors.
The two unfollowed one another, it was discovered this week. She allegedly removed any traces of the Drake interview from YouTube as well. People found this situation to be a little perplexing overall, especially considering how well they appeared to get along. Some, though, think it’s all related to a recent podcast with Dave Portnoy.
Althoff said some questionable things about Lil Yachty on that show with the creator of Barstool Sports. She claimed that she didn’t even want to be there because the artist was so weird. Given Althoff’s overall “awkward” temperament, fans also thought the comments were uncalled for. Following the interview, Dave Portnoy claimed to have questioned Althoff if she had slept with Drake and whether she was divorcing him on another show. After that, according to Portnoy, Althoff declined to make a public statement and left it at that. Althoff then revealed her conversations with Portnoy, pointing out that the Barstool chief had omitted an important part of the narrative.
“I did not want to do this podcast in the first place, and now so much negativity is coming from it,” Althoff wrote on her IG story. “I’m going to leave it alone after this but this is the uncensored dm between Dave and I.” In the actual screenshot from their DMs, you can see that Althoff told Dave off the record that she never slept with Drake. Portnoy even responded to her message saying, “I knew I was right.” Needless to say, Portnoy got caught trying to spread a narrative, and it backfired.
If one thing is for certain here, it is that the Bobbi Althoff saga has been a bit much at this point. The hip-hop world has grown tired of her “schtick” and it remains to be seen if she will ever get another guest of Drake’s caliber.
